I have a #TinBoxTale of a tin of plasters that an elderly neighbour gave me when I travelled the country barefoot, in case I accidentally cut myself (as I often did). I don't think I ever used them, but the gesture still touches me deeply. She was called Jessie. https://twitter.com/tanyashadrick/status/1242047773496823808
Seeing this thread also reminds of the disappointment of when they dug up the #BluePeter timebox for the year 2000. That future date seemed so exciting as a child, and when they dug it up, it felt exactly the same, but a bit older. I think the damp had got in too.
I like the idea of saving things for the future, but perhaps not for an arbitrary date. I keep finding things - ideas, pictures, stories that I saved for a time such as this, without even knowing that that was what I was doing.
