Pondering the current wave of counter-accusations towards Tara Reade (Biden& #39;s accuser for those not following at home), I find myself wondering if this has impacted the mortality rate of assault survivors.
A less than pleasant consequence of being one of Thomas Ligotti& #39;s much vaunted depressives is that, for every time I& #39;ve contemplated That Grave Act, I find myself wondering how many others have, and of them how many went through with it, and of them what drove them to it?
What I& #39;m saying is that, for every sexual assault survivor that sees these denials of Reade& #39;s abuse, how many of them are going to see a society that views them as little more than a footstool or a hindrance to Great Men?
How many people have died thinking that nobody cared?
