i've been working on a project for several months now that i'd like to start sharing more openly about, so i'm gonna go ahead and make a thread about it!
the project is called echoes in the crest!
✨echoes in the crest is an ongoing compilation of art, comics, stories, and worldbuilding in a high fantasy setting.
✨ the Crest is a pair of continents, populated by humanoid creatures called lops!
✨ the worldmaps below were created using Azgaar's fantasy map generator
(here's a link to the map generator: https://azgaar.github.io/Fantasy-Map-Generator/ i cannot speak for how fantastic it is as a resource, please give it a go bc there's so MUCH you can do in it and it helped immensely with so much of my worldbuilding. i cannot praise it enough)
💫lops are humanoid, tailed creatures of many varying subtypes who live all over the continents!
💫a lop's features, upbringing, and magic abilities generally depend on their environment.
💫below are examples of an icelop, sealop, and cavelop!
i've been doing concepts and writing about lops for over six months now and i'm finally in the last stages of preparation!!!! here's a few more early concepts, including two characters i made before i'd even decided lops would all be different types of creature
i'm currently finalizing the prep for a questden story called Coast to Crown, wherein a mirelop on his first pilgrimage outside of his small town is faced with the mission to find three other lops who want to learn magic from the Archmages - effectively the royal guard! buuut...
...some folks are less agreeable than others, some far less honorable, and some would prefer that those who are ignorant stay so. not only that, but the Archmage's gift of knowledge may not be all that it seems....!!!
i'll continue to update this thread with further information, links to art and quests and stories, and anything to do with Echoes from the Crest will be linked back here :)
this is a lot of information just on its own, but i hope to share these stories with you in full soon!!!
