I don't think quarantine violators should be arrested during a pandemic, rich or poor, unless you're a PUI/PUM putting people at risk.

I don't think armed cops should enter a home without a warrant or an imminent threat.

Belligerence isn't a threat. Nor is being a prick.
If this was because he was being abusive to his wife within sight of the cops, that's one thing.

If it's because he was being an abrasive, elitist, asshole, that's another.

I don't think cops should be allowed to arrest you because they don't like how you spoke to them.
Are there valid grounds for warrantless arrest that could exist? Sure, in theory. As folks point out we don't see everything.

But:

I believe that the people wtih guns that we pay to keep us safe should bear the burden of justifying any actions against civilians.
I believe that the people we trust to bear arms should have thick enough skin to bear the scrutiny and criticism of a largely unarmed citizenry.

I believe that it is in the best interests of the unarmed citizenry if the cops are encouraged to exercise maximum tolerance. Always.
At a time where prominent personalities are creating an envoronment where violence is no longer seen as a last resort by the authorities, I think it's more important than ever that our initial reaction to violence is one that questions authority.
