tom nook: don't like. he's a landlord and he forced me to do manual labor for him. i dont care that reggie said he's a mascot now and they gave him a wholesomeover.

blathers: don't like. but he's okay, because he is nice to celeste. and dinosaur facts.

rover: i guess...he's fine. he's really nice to the player so i'm not feeling critical of him. i just don't think he's cute. i like dogs better than cats.

porter: i like him. he is cute. he doesn't have a strong personality, but he's cute and i like trains.

saharah: i think the localized saharah is a racist caricature lol. i think the stilted english is orientalist. omitting that, mbe treating him like the japanese version, he is cute. all the characters whose sexes were changed i like by default, by the way. saharah is dodgy though

gracie: she is mean...i like her lol. but she's a pitiful character. she's such a butthole and her "fashion" is randomly generated so it is comically terrible. but she's so cute, and she's a giraffe, and her sex varies regionally. and it's charming that she's smug but she sucks.

sow joan: where is she? i miss her.

daisy mae: she's really cute, but i miss sow joan. i miss stepping out of my door at 5 am and screaming "SOW JOAN! SOW JOAN! TURNIP TIME!"

daisy mae is incredibly cute though. her personality is vivid, too. actually, she's a great character.

isabelle: i dont like isabelle that much lol. i was an adult when new leaf came out, i'm not attached at all. i also really don't like shih tzus.

*thinks about it* i guess her soul is cute. but i just... don't care.

digby: REALLY CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

redd: because he's a kitsune, specifically a kitsune incorporating elements of mythology, i like him. he's like the interesting version of tom nook, who is an akmak cracker your cracker aunt forces you to eat. i'm sympathetic with him too.

however, he never fucked me over.

kappn is my animal crossing husband. i love him. my passion for him only kindles with every installment. missing him now is like sheets of accelerant staggering into a wall of yellow flame.

i realized during the course of this thread that my favourite animal crossing npc is celeste.

i absolutely love her. i discovered her late in ww and was frankly astonished because she was so gorgeous and cute in a pretty ugly game. she's a fucking princess. she's the best one.
