India has tested 6.2 lakhs people for corona. 27k or 4.3% of the tests came out positive. 826 have died till now. Now assuming India tests its entire 130 cr ppl and with a strike of even 1%, 1.3 cr would have corona.

This is a list of reasons for the annual deaths in India.
Just because we haven’t tested doesn’t mean we don’t have corona. Many of us (including me) might have had corona and recovered from it also.

We wouldn’t know it.
You can’t just have 27k cases in a county of 130 cr. And if the cases were more the deaths can’t be suppressed. The local admin doesn’t let you keep the body and if it does corona would have spread. So the thesis is we have far many more people with corona than what is reported.
Even the western world doesn’t know how many corona patients it had because it hasn’t tested enough. Actually, they have had several times more corona patients than what has been identified and most have recovered. Mortality rate is higher because of their low immune system.
The real problem is of hunger, debt, job losses and unemployment which will be an output of stalled economic activity. The supply chain of our industry has been broken. We need time to recover. The country’s economy is on a ventilator.
Businesses paid you salary for the month of April. If the economy doesn’t start in May people would rather retrench or go broke than pay salary. They have no money. Most businesses work on a 4% net margin with a 12% RoE. The economics don’t favour them.
Don’t expect your employer to be the Good Samaritan for the month of May also. I hope @narendramodi @PMOIndia @nsitharaman and the @FinMinIndia find us a way out of the lockdown. The economy runs a risk never ever seen since 1991. We have to do something about it - today.
