Can I just say that I absolutely LOVE @UMNMorris. As a 5th year I'm wrapping up my degree with a pretty light load. I'm taking a gen ed along with my statistics senior seminar. Being a STEM double major I have always felt supported by faculty within my majors 1/n
And I have cherished every opportunity I have gotten to be a part of. But what blows me away about my educational experience here at morris is how deeply ALL faculty care about everyone they teach- even if it's a large gen ed class they teach every semester. 2/n
I let my gen ed professor know that I wouldn't be able to attend live zoom lecture this past Friday because I was presenting my stats seminar the next morning and had to meet with my advisor and the only time I could was during class time. 3/n
Not only did my gen ed prof let me know that it was totally fine to miss that class period (I can watch the lectures latter-yay zoom?) he also wanted to know if he could attend my seminar via zoom. I was happy he wanted to support and happily sent the link. 4/n
THEN not only did he attend and ask a meaningful question at the end of my sem- he stayed and watched my other fellow classmates present theirs. I then got a congratulatory email from him about my seminar which prompted this thread because it sincerely moved me. 5/n
