the angel that is louis tomlinson: a thread

louis tomlinson has donated MILLIONS OF DOLLARS without wanting recognition or expecting anything in return. there is no doubt in my mind he’s donated even more without his name in relation. he is an incredibly humble and selfless individual.

louis’ image in the media is often demonized. he is never portrayed as the caring, compassionate, and kind person he truly is. sarah, mother of harvey and spencer, who met both louis and johannah, explained her anger and annoyance at the negative press louis often recieves.

louis was and is greatly involved in spencer and harvey’s journey. their family attended believe in magic: cinderella ball, hosted by louis, where many beautiful children attended a cinderella themed night where they were treated like royalty. he personally donated $3 million.

the eden dora trust is a charity to provide training for adults working with kids with encephalitis and acquired brain injury, which louis is also heavily involved in. he is an official patron and has attended many events such as the charity tea in october of 2015.

during the christmas season of 2017, louis bought the ENTIRETY of bluebell wood children’s hospice amazon christmas wishlist. this supplied gifts such as toys, supplies for arts and crafts, books, etc. for the children and families that are apart of bluebell wood.

louis has played in many charity football matches, 1) bluebell wood match in 2012 which raised money to support children with a shortened life expectancy by providing medical relief and many other services, 2) pro vs stars 2014, which raised money and awareness for the celtic fc

foundation (support for those in poverty) and the rio ferdinand foundation (various programs for the youth), and 3) soccer aid in 2016, which raises money for UNICEF aid that provides humanitarian and developmental assistance to families in developing countries.

during soccer aid 2016, louis was paired with an incredible little girl named summer who is profoundly deaf. she was chosen to be a mascot for the match and her mother expressed her concern for the team’s ability to communicate with her and tried to reach out.

fortunately, louis had previously become fluent in asl (sign language) in order to communicate with his fans. he stood by her side the entire time and made sure to always be tactile so that she wouldn’t become frightened or lost.

rylee sanford is a beautiful little girl who was diagnosed with bilateral close-lipped schizencephaly which causes cerebral palsy. she cannot walk without assistance but is making amazing progress through physical therapy! in january of 2018, louis donated $10,000 of the $10,000

goal. the fundraiser was to get rylee the tools and necessities to easily get around. rylee and her family even got the chance to meet louis at one of his listening parties! look at that beautiful smile!

since many of those listening parties were during the holidays, louis bought toys and even a bicycle for the toy drives like toys for tots that were going on at the various locations.

in june of 2018, the ross owen show contacted louis asking to support sign a shirt for the shining stars theatre school in scotland. the shirt was raffled off and the funds raised were used to purchase christmas presents and equipment.

louis participated in the artists for grenfell’s charity single in 2017 along with artists like stormzy, emeli sandé, labyrinth, ella eyre, robbie williams, rita ora and more. the single raised money for the families affected by the fire that killed and left many homeless.

in 2018, louis praised stormzy’s freestyle performance during the brits which criticized the media for their racism as well as the conservative party, and theresa may’s uninvolvement in aiding the victims of the fire at grenfell tower, and many other political issues.

louis has associated himself with the labour party many times and has even confirmed that he is an avid supporter in this tweet.

louis has shown his unconditional support to many many transgender fans throughout the years.

in their tellings of their encounters with louis they say he is very very VERY educated on the matter and always tried to make them feel their most comfortable. he has asked multiple times what they identify as, as to not offend them and respect their pronouns.

louis has shown his endless support for lgbtq+ fans throughout the years. most notably though are these:

louis hugging the AMAZING drag queen who auditioned for him and was apart of his team on xfactor (this is more personal to me because he looks so cute on his tippie toes)

in his “just like you” music video, louis included multiple articles on various political/human rights issues/movements such as feminism, the blm movement, mental health, the lgbtq+ community, mental health, police brutality (i.e. colin kapernick) and sexual assault among others.

louis wore this sweater supporting all out, an organization that fights “for a world where no one has to sacrifice their family, freedom, safety, or dignity because of who they are or who they love.”

louis has been very vocal about how he feels unworthy of his own wealth, showing how humble and grounded louis has stayed although being known as a singer/songwriter on a global scale as well as his consciousness on class disparity.

over quarantine, louis has also criticized the unjust vulnerability and risks that the middle/working class are put under during the coronavirus outbreak.
