Women, how many you in your career have been attacked, belittled, or judged in any way for the way you carry yourself and/or dress in your career?

Today a man explained maybe I should stop “punching through” (my words) and just dress/carry myself differently. My “principles aren’t making [me] happy”. Explaining he had to get rid of a certain shade of navy blue suit because people “didn’t respect [him].”

Raise your hand if you’ve been made to conform or they’ve tried to make you conform!

The conversation spawned off a comment saying I feel like if I moved out of the Deep South I would get less (not NONE, just less) of this. So, out of curiosity, where are you located and how bad have you experienced this?
