How do I create a budget for a grant?

First off - it really can’t hurt to contact the org that has funding available to talk through your application and what they are expecting. Trust me - they are nice people, and they want you to be successful!

There is no one “correct” way to go about building a budget. A budget breaks down for you, and the person you are asking to invest in your idea, exactly what $$$ you require to deliver your proposal. That includes labour, software, etc - any and all expenses https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="💰" title="Money bag" aria-label="Emoji: Money bag">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="💰" title="Money bag" aria-label="Emoji: Money bag">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="💰" title="Money bag" aria-label="Emoji: Money bag">

Also, @ScreenAustralia has some really useful ‘A-Z budget’ templates avail. They are especially handy for series/feature projects, and at the least might get you thinking of all the different factors to consider:
