Trauma life hack:

Brené Brown suggests writing names of those who get input into your life on a 2x2 paper.

I call them my post-it note people.

Sometimes during times of trauma, we can’t see it if we’re not in a good place but our post-it note people can. Ask them how you are.

Friends and strangers, interviewers and observers, have all joked that my brand is sometimes IDGAF.

Actually I do, but I’ve identified the post-it note people who get input into my life. I care a great deal about what they think and say, because they are trustworthy.
Cowards who lob insults from behind screen names that keep them anonymous? Nope, they don’t get a place on my post-it.

So I don’t give serious thought to any “input” they offer.

Same goes for people in my life who I see often but we haven’t built that trust (yet in some cases).
I give so many fucks, y’all.

If you are one of my people, I will have your back, and your front and sides too. And I totally give a fuck about what you have to say.

I just know who gets that privilege and who doesn’t.

If someone doesn’t, it looks like IDGAF.
