Have you ever actively decided to watch a Porky Pig cartoon? Throughout life, I’ve been in the mood for Daffy cartoons, Bugs cartoons, Road Runner, Tweety Pie, etcetera.

But I’ve never thought “I am going to watch a Porky Pig cartoon.”

Now I don’t hate him, his stuff is good, but even his best short derives all its comedy from the Dodo and Wackyland’s bullshit.

Also, I have absolutely no point that I’m trying to make here. I’ve just never decided to watch Porky Pig on the basis of Porky’s involvement.

How many Porky Pig cartoons were there even? Three or not?

And yet, by virtue of the very show’s format, he is in every single one with the final word. So really he’s got that over me, and I can’t argue with it.
