Looking back to the draft: there’s zero doubt that the offense was upgraded. Akers proved to be productive & reliable behind a bad line - 80% of his YPC came after contact.

Jefferson is a hybrid of our two favorite receivers since Big Game & the Reverend. Seems more than ideal.
Hopkins is a legit replacement for Everett who’s in a contract year. Hopkins & Higbee played under the same TE coach, John Brohm. Feel like Brycen’s a better athlete.

Brycen’s dad, Brad was a pro-bowl offensive lineman. If Brycen isn’t blocking, his dad will let him hear it.
Terrell Lewis is the most interesting pick. His technique may be inconsistent at times, but that’s because he hasn’t been on the field enough. Hard to imagine he won’t be motivated to clean up his game with all of that talent surrounding him. He’ll thrive in sub-packages.
Clearly remember when we were told that safety wasn’t a need. Burgess is a chess piece on this defense. Big nickel safeties are hybrids — Taylor Rapp, Terrell Burgess AND Jordan Fuller are great examples of that. This defense is filled with versatility.
Can’t forget Couch GM Brett Favre calling Clay Johnston from Baylor the “sleeper pick of the entire draft”. Had a 90.2 run grade, which ranked 31st among all defenders in the nation (via @PFF).

The plan is: stop the run, and never give up 55 points again.
If you’re mad that they didn’t address the offensive line, don’t be. Tremayne Anchrum is going to compete with the 11 other offensive lineman on the depth chart.

With Whit, Blythe & Havenstein tentatively in place, how hard can it be to find the best 2 guards?
