When discussing elections I often hear “we have no choice”. Usually it means there are indeed choices, but the person saying that wishes you had no choices and could force you to vote like they want you to vote.

Show me an example of that being said and this not happening.
They are trying to leverage their own reasoning to be universally applicable when there’s no basis for doing so. Its based on a strong sense of entitlement to leftist votes, as if we are obligated to support team blue by default.
Like focusing on Donald Trump, who is bad, I agree, but is merely one of many symptoms.

This system produced him. When he is gone, the system, thus the problem, will persist.
If the executive branch or the elected position of being president, has too much discretionary power, then that is the specific problem we should address.

Not this bullshit “but if *they* win ....” argument. They are gonna win sometimes. Look at history ffs.
So when they do win, we should make it so no matter what party they adhere to, they cannot oppress us, or engage in militarism, or destroy the environment, or subsidize the rich.
But don’t listen to me because I can’t even make my own tweets appear in the fucking order I typed them in. Lol
