Looking forward to "The Last Dance" tonight and an exploration of Jordan& #39;s 1-3 record in playoff series vs. the Bad Boys Pistons. Also, a comparison of the Pistons& #39; 1991 walkoff on the Bulls with the Celtics& #39; 1988 walkoff on the Pistons. Similar. Strangely, not discussed as such.
Also, eager to get a full accounting of the Jordan comments that preceded Game 4 in 1991, comments that disrespected what the Pistons were as a basketball team and gave them too much credit for the NBA& #39;s physicality at the time. I mean, Jordan played 3 years with Charles Oakley.
Good discussion of the game that served as the end of the Pistons/beginning of Bulls& #39; championship run here: https://theathletic.com/1760063/2020/04/24/rewatching-the-classics-the-night-michael-jordans-bulls-got-past-the-bad-boys/">https://theathletic.com/1760063/2...
And this should be required pre-viewing reading, @shawnwindsor on a little-known fact -- the Pistons were actually good at basketball! https://www.freep.com/story/sports/columnists/shawn-windsor/2020/04/26/detroit-pistons-bad-boys-michael-jordan-bulls-the-last-dance-espn/3028110001/">https://www.freep.com/story/spo...
