#orcs are trending right now and Grunk agrees that historically there have been problematic narrative uses and portrayals but that doesn’t reflect the amazing diverse orc community that exists today. Orcs come in all sizes, colours, sexual orientations and genders. 1/5
Orc life is fantasy. Be creative but be aware of the issues (there are many) related to the fantasy tropes you use and as always try and find ways to break free of the trope to make it your own.
Orc Style was founded by queer nerds and as such reflects that perspective in our products and content but that is by no means the only valid representation of the possibilities or realities of others in the community. These voices should be heard.
A perfect example of this is Tusks The Orc dating simulator. It’s is an incredibly deep and nuanced look at queer alienation and touches on a lot of amazing subjects from how to be a good ally to exploring privilege.
