I hear a lot of people say using Latin in the Church is antiquated or ridiculous.
Latin is the sacred language of the Church and has been so since the 300s AD.
Jews still use Hebrew and Muslims use Arabic. A sacred language unites the faithful and their history.
People also act like learning Latin for worship is not possible, but illiterate people for millennia learned the Mass in Latin and prayed in Latin. Saying we can't learn it is saying that either you don't want to learn it or admitting we are more stupid or lazy now.
