I served on the Task Force that created @CA_Dem's sexual misconduct policy and code of conduct in the aftermath of the Bauman scandal. Altschuler advised the Task Force and did an outstanding job. I have long experience with this firm and there is no one I trust more for this job

It is my view that there should be a public report that gives as much information as transparently as possible while also protecting victim privacy and autonomy. I believe that @rustyhicks wants to do the right thing and will get there relatively quickly with Altschuler's help.

It is my hope that the report will also shed light on which @CA_Dem officers and managers knew about misconduct and failed to take proper actions. As Democrats we must take appropriate actions to ensure accountability and training to prevent a recurrence of this whole sorry mess.

As to the Code of Conduct, in my view there is still serious work to do. We certainly can't stop now. The wreckage of the past has not yet been fully cleared away, and I understand the hurt and fear that there will not be accountability. I am optimistic we will get there.

I look forward to hearing regular transparent updates from @rustyhicks about the progress of the public report, improvements to the Code of Conduct, and reaching a day when sexual harassment is no longer an impediment to the participation of anyone in @CA_Dem. /fin @RoKhanna
