Skincare Basics (Really, Just The Basics): A Thread.

Where do you begin? Does everything have to be medical-grade? Do you need 8 products? What order do you apply them in?
Before you dive into this thread, I’d like to let you know that the main steps I’ll be focusing on (without all the frills like treatments, serums, etc.) are double-cleansing, toning, moisturising, + sunscreen. They’re essential and budget-friendly. Let’s begin…
What’s double-cleansing and is it necessary? DC is a deep cleansing method and is the usage of an oil-based cleanser first, followed by a water-based cleanser. The OB cleanser breaks down all the oil, makeup (opt), and debris in your skin. The WB is the second round of cleansing.
Since your skin doesn’t need such intensive cleansing both times of the day, keep DC a part of your PM regime. In the AM, a lighter, single cleanser works just fine unless your skin is overly oily. If your skin is sensitive, you may look to using milk or cream cleansers.
