I’m rewatching every season of AHS and felt like giving my thoughts as I go so:

Murder House - is so much better than I remembered!! I was so pleasantly surprised and I forgot how cool it was. It’s dark, it’s interesting, it’s unique. Sets up a good start for the show. Love how everytime I watch it I notice new things.

Asylum - always felt like it was the most disturbing season. So many strange / cool storylines. Gives that classic “no one is fully bad or good” feel and I love it?? The nuns, the aliens, the killers; it’s all so crazy. I live for it.

Coven - when it’s not overly gory it almost feels like a teen drama, it makes it feel much lighter than the other seasons lol. Love the plot lines and the music. Overall season 3 is a great stand-alone as well as a significant part of the wider narrative arc.

Freak Show - oh my god this is the season with the best characters hands down. Also the best episode from the whole of AHS is in this season, episode 10. I have this insane empathy for the characters and their backstories. Definitely very disturbing but a very good watch.

Hotel - this is a weird one. It’s a cool concept and I love the main characters but a lot of it gets quite frustrating with the Lowe family. They legit abandon their daughter and are still the “good guys”? Lady gaga is in it though. So it’s good. Ending is a little anticlimactic.

Roanoke - again, cool concept but wasn’t executed that well and DEAR LORD the English accents are hilarious. Seemed almost like it didn’t fit regular AHS style but I won’t criticise it too much because it’s entertaining. However it’s my least favourite.

Cult - this is an interesting one because it actually gives me the spooks. Maybe it’s the killer clowns and the mind games. Ally annoys me a bit at the start which is frustrating because she’s the main character. It’s a generally decent season in my opinion though.

Apocalypse - I’m obsessed with this season, I’ve watched it maybe 3 times in the past month. It has the best story of all seasons so far and brings back great characters but the end comes across dull. I get the spooks from the apocalyptic aspect too so that’s pretty good.
