What’s happening tonight in #Lebanon, the protests in different areas, is the direct outcome of the of many failures of the ruling elite, oligarchs, banks, cronies, and the old-fashioned power sharing formulas applied since the end of the civil war.

Roadblocks around the country tonight, despite of the lockdown that is yet to be extended for two weeks, is another example of the dire conditions #Lebanese are getting through. Spike in prices, demeaning regulations by banks, and a profit-hungry ruling elite.

What is not-so-surprising however, is the brazen appearances of the same old figures, who are the ones responsible of the situation we got to, blaming each other and mobilising their constituencies which always proved that they are not but mercenaries on call.

But even mercenaries will not make it past our fianancial and economic free-fall #Lebanonprotests #لبنان_ينتفض
