New Thread.

So I saw this stat - that 60% of Dems blame Trump MORE than China for coronavirus - & thought, how is that possible? When @axios’s @BethanyAllenEbr debunked this? ( https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.axios.com/timeline-the-early-days-of-chinas-coronavirus-outbreak-and-cover-up-ee65211a-afb6-4641-97b8-353718a5faab.html)

Then">https://www.google.com/amp/s/www... I took a look & realized how many are pushing this false narrative.
For starters, the worst offender here has been @WHO. A few screenshots below. But there are plenty more.
Recently, @BillGates made a similar claim. A stunning inaccuracy for someone so important.
But there’s so many more.

Here’s @MrJDWalsh for @NYMag. One of the most egregious examples.
@CNN has some of the most mind-boggling examples.

Below are from @FareedZakaria, @jgriffiths, @ZcohenCNN, @MarquardtA, @betsy_klein, @Kevinliptakcnn and @maeganvaz
This one from @TIME by @ianbremmer (a man whom I usually respect on most things)
Also no surprises from Beijing mouthpiece @SCMPNews.
This from @Telegraph is just straight propaganda.
Simon Tisdall for @guardian with a notable entry.
You can almost hear the joy in this one, from @JamieRoss7 for @thedailybeast
@nytimes here with a valid point about Trump’s comments but definitely misses the forest for the trees.
@USATODAY’s editorial board covering themselves in glory here.
@JoeNBC continues to find headlines any way that he can.
This thread has gotten disconcertingly long and is far from over. Stay with me.
@grantstern. As I’ve explained extensively, he isn’t lying. Even @WIRED conceded this: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wired.com/story/trump-isnt-wrong-about-investigating-who/amp">https://www.google.com/amp/s/www...
The entire European Union on this one.
James Green for @ForeignPolicy, with the both sidesism here. We’ll see a lot more of this.
Whoever @weareoversight is.
@weizent for @CNBC continuing the both sides mentality.
Resurrecting this all-time bad take from @theintercept and @joepenney.
@amprog pushing Chinese propaganda. Melanie Hart and @mikehfuchs.
@ChrisMurphyCT with the brain-meltingly bad take here.
A hall of fame bad take from @RJRobb for @azcentral.
@LoisParshley for @voxdotcom. Again. Wired has debunked this. @WHO has been terrible and are very much culpable for covering for Chinese lies. (More @WHO tweets below).
@DoyleMcManus for @latimes with some serious PR mastery on behalf of Chinese propaganda.
You can follow @DrewHolden360.
