Timo Werner - still value above £6? A thread 👇
#footballindex
In the short term, all eyes will be on the Bundesliga with it being the first league to return. RBL have the best fixtures of any team with an average position of 11.7 (8.7 below their place) and playing every one of the bottom 5 (thanks @drake_fi).
Werner has the second highest number of expected dividends (xDivs) this season behind unlucky Kimmich (now a mid). This is thanks to 2 very high scores of 373 and 294 and 25 goals, 9 assists so far this season.
Most number 9s need at least 2 goal contributions to win PB and Werner is capable, having done this 8 times this season (1 in 3). Playing all the worst teams in the league makes it likely he can continue to compete.
It’s worth noting that Werner doesn’t really compete with any other forwards at RBL for PB, so in my opinion there are still short term gains to be made with Timo for both divs and the CA that accompanies it.
There is also the prospect of a transfer. Liverpool seems most likely to snap him up and the media have already started. He already has 2 MB wins (5p & 1p) this month and is the 10th most spoken about player in UK media. If the transfer hots up, this should increase.
As for his price at Lpool it’s difficult. He is higher than both Salah and Mane but they haven’t competed for PB recently. With Liverpool so dominant, who knows how many goals he can wrack up and what media will come with that? At 24 it looks like Werner is just getting started.
And yes, I do still hold 😂. I have a lot of faith in Werner, particularly in the short term. We'll see post transfer #footballindex
