Izuku’s POV was supposed to end where he tells Katsuki that he can’t meet him that Thursday because he has a date with Shindo and Izuku thinks ‘well, that went well’ and we all know it did NOT, in fact, go well. WTF DEKU??

Katsuki was supposed to pick it up next and it began with:

“Katsuki was well and truly fucked.

He was fucked 6 years ago when he didn’t run after Izuku, he’s fucked now that Izuku’s back and doesn’t look at Katsuki the same way, and he’s been fucked all the years in between."

Then it would have gone on to tell why they broke up, what’s he’s been doing since then, and his side of the mini-dates, until their stories merge at Tokoyami’s party and we’d have seen that scene at Katsuki’s high rise apartment from Katsuki's POV.

But the thing is, I sort of promised that this thread would cause minimal pain and heartache and Katsuki’s POV isn’t as lighthearted as Izuku’s. Katsuki is living with R E G R E T S. He knows he fucked up. And we’d all have been gutted and lamenting, so I stuck with Izuku’s POV.

Anyway, why did they break up? It wasn’t anything specific, nothing they couldn’t have fixed or compromised on. They were just 24 and stupid.

They’ve been together all their lives, circling each other since UA, and officially got together when they were 20, moved in together a year later.
