I know I'm not the only person freaking out over what's going on in the world, but living in a state where our governor is actively ignoring the science and the numbers in favor of boosting the economy is fucking terrifying. I'm fucking terrified.

Working at a job where the higher ups are telling us that they're going to listen to the government because they have our best interests in mind is, frankly, horrifying. This administration does not have our best interests in mind. They have their own.

My job is telling us that we essentially have 2 options: Come back to work and risk our health, or quit. My job that prides itself on putting its employees first and caring about our health and wellbeing. I always knew it was bullshit but this... honestly this is just... awful.

The science says that if we stop social distancing, we could face hundreds of thousands more cases, but my state thinks that because we're on a decreasing trend of new cases, that means we can and should reopen?? How about we wait until there are 0 new cases. Until we're safe.

Anyway. I'll probably delete this thread later. I just. Really needed to scream into the void. Sorry for darkening your timelines with my bullshit
