It was a Friday, packing up my laptop going home, ready to start studying. Got a call from this number, thought it was a learner. Dude asked me if I knew x, and I told him x is my gf. Dude was like, x is my gf too. So we're getting played. I thought it was a joke #HowIGotDumped

So I sent x a message in whatsapp, I didn't say much about the call. X didn't reply. Later that evening, x texts me, asks if anyone called me. I tell x that yes, someone did, and his name is y. I ask x what's going on, x ignores me, almost the entire weekend #HowIGotDumped

So I been keeping to myself and hadn't told anyone what happened. I ask x that we talk because I don't get what's going on, x keeps ignoring me. I text y because there's a lot of things I don't understand. I call y and we talk, but y is not making much sense #HowIGotDumped

Y is not making much sense because some things he's saying about x are not entirely true. So I figured I'm being played. My senses tell me there's a rat, and indeed there was a rat. They weren't wrong #HowIGotDumped

So I tell x's cuz what happened, he doesn't believe it either. Eiy then another fella, m tells me that k knew about x not wanting me anymore and having another gent as early as April that year. That time we were in September.

So while deleting some vns, I come across a voice that sounds like y's. This voice was in the vn I received from x. So I asked a friend, Tumi to call the number that called me claiming to be x's boyfriend. Tumi comes back, tells me the person is k #HowIGotDumped

So me, k, x, m, and x's cousin + some other gents were all in the same group on whatsapp. Things started to get tense because I confronted k in the group. K revealed some concerning things unknowingly because he was pissed at me confronting him #HowIGotDumped

So now that Tumi came back and told me that the person's name and owner of the number is actually k and he is pretending to be y. So I checked again on true caller, number is saved as the mother of k. Yey I'm furious at this point and I keep my cool #HowIGotDumped

So Monday morning, I ask to speak to y and he doesn't respond to my messages, I then decided to call k because I've his number. Hai I was pissed. So then k goes why am I accusing him of lying and pretending to be y or having someone else call me using his mom's number.

Nigga swears he doesn't know who the number that called me belongs to. I then ask him why on earth then is it saved as his mom's number on true caller? Number was saved as as 'mak surname'. K was dumbfounded, then k comes clean on whatsapp. #HowIGotDumped

So the number is actually k's mother's number. Y is mostly likely a colleague or a home boy of k, or something like that. So then K decides to create a group. Me, him and x. I then called x and asked her what the hell was going on? Mind you, my exam was like 2-3 days away

X acted dumb at first as if she didn't understand what was going on. She was at work that day and this perfect plan of her was unraveling right in front of her eyes. So she drops my call and then calls me back and she says I found out #HowIGotDumped

So x comes to whatsapp group that k created. K then leaves the group and says he should never have agreed to the stupid plan. And says he is sorry for involving himself in all the mess #HowIGotDumped

So here was the plan. So k was to get someone to call me, y, to pretend to be X's boyfriend. And then that way, we would break up. But thing is, y didn't know x as well as I did and I found inconsistencies that made me question the whole thing #HowIGotDumped

And in one of the chats with K, he hinted that x might have gotten someone to call me and not the actual bf. There were things that didn't make sense.. So I dug out stuff and found the plan that was hatched. #HowIGotDumped

At this point, I was simply furious that they had to play this stupid game instead of X just telling me that she was done. So I asked X why did she do all these stupid things, wasting my time having me deal with this during my exam period etc #HowIGotDumped

So x tells me that she was scared that the real other boyfriend would kill us if he found out that she was cheating because he's insecure blah blah and hinted he's abusive. And I was like us? Wtf.

Now I started rethinking everything and I realized all the times that x had me console her when her fam was angry at her for staying out late, she was actually spending time with the real y #HowIGotDumped

So I asked X why? She fell inlove or what? Then jiki jiki, I receive a vn from K that he had received from X telling him why she had to leave me

Yuh the chest pains.

And then I remembered all the times I bragged about X in the group where K and the other gents were. Half the gents in there knew X was playing me and K was the primary source of info. #HowIGotDumped

Like they'd see me defend her when someone tried to attack her and brag about my love for her.. Only for them to laugh behind my back. This is how I felt . #HowIGotDumped

I was tempted to release the vn.. But the better half of me said nah, not worth it. I was also tempted to tell the other guy but again, other half was like nah fam, not worth it. Take your L and walk. #HowIGotDumped

Anyway that's how I got dumped.. Lol left out some details because well, this whole thing happened over a period of roughly 2 weeks. Crazy things happen but such is life. It's funny now but yoh, the chest pains back then, I couldn't even eat . #HowIGotDumped

Honourable mention to @Kgabo_Pine for always laughing at me during that period . Who needs friends when you've ones who can laugh at your during the heartbreak? Tbh. It helped me heal.

Oh just one last thing

X had the real Y stress her, mess her up, mess up things for her then she had me console her, because I was always there. Lol I have to stan X now, she was smart but there was no stanning back then, chest pains were doing me good #HowIGotDumped
