What Could Have Been? thread (1/8) - "Arch Football Honors"

If that headline didn't grab your attention, perhaps these visuals will....
(2) We had BIG plans for Home Game 3 vs. LA. Yes, we were opening the top level (per fans' request), but we were also going to address another big fans' request:

"What are you going to replace the old Ring of Honor with?"

A: A platform we were calling "Arch Football Honors."
(3) Reimagining traditional team halls of fame & similar memorial celebrations, the Arch Football Honors platform recognizes influential players, coaches and administrators who built, nurtured and led football programs of all levels in STL: youth, high school, collegiate and pro.
(4) Hall of Famers Isaac Bruce, Kurt Warner & Roger Wehrli, and local high school coaching legend Bob Shannon were selected as the first class of Arch Football Honors by the "Joint Chiefs," a local advisory board of business leaders, community ambassadors, and knowledgeable fans.
(5) We were finalizing all of the travel accommodations with the honorees when COVID-19 shut everything down. We did end up printing these rafter banners that would have been installed next to the U.S. flag inside The Dome. These banners are sitting in a warehouse somewhere.
(6) I bring this up now because these four honorees paved the way for football to grow in St. Louis, and why our community loves the game as it does. I bet we would have had well over 50K+ for the Arch Football Honors game.
(7) Numerous fans - starting at our first Happy Hour+ event - wanted us to honor St. Louis' storied football past, and Arch Football Honors was the platform we created with you, based off of your idea!
(8) Once again, thank you, St. Louis' football-, sports- and St. Louis-loving fans ... you made our job so much more fun by always offering your ideas, wishes and plans so we could build this team together.

Looking forward to doing it again....
