I've been re-watching #BoyMeetsWorld. Growing up, I could not remember anything before season 3 and what a show. Not to over-analyze, but they work in academic lessons in the first 5 minutes and then prove it with real-life examples.
No show will ever reference the Rwandan Genocide and portray that in a way that is easily understandable to the unaware through a family living in a trailer park and one living in an upper-middle-class neighbourhood. #BoyMeetsWorld
I know it's not the same thing, and to simplify the Rwandan Genocide like this does not do what is going on justice, but to teach, you must make what your teaching relatable. Listen to Shawn's paper at the end of S4 Ep. 10:
Also, let's not forget when Feeny explained why Romeo and Juliet were important because Cory wouldn't be here if it wasn't for love between his parents and compared it to the love Romeo and Juliet had. Here's the quote from Feeny:
