THREAD: Things to do or start during the 2020 pandemic or home time:

1/ PRANAYAMA - Deep breathing through the nasal passage has an immensely calming effect. Try it.

“The Breath is Strength” (Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 5.14.4).

2/ BINDI: Just do it. Wear it.

Do you live in the west and go to work daily and not wear a #bindi? Start now and make this work at home time to wear it always.
3/ YOGA - Give it a try. And it's not just poses. It's far more than that. There are many types and perhaps we can spend some time learning more about it.

"The Bhagawad Gita enumerates
Asthanga Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Gyana Yoga, and Karma Yoga."

4/ TEACH: Are you home now with a young child? Spend 10 mins to teach them a new math concept. Or a read with them a short #panchatantra katha for a #moral of the day
5/ TEL MALISH/Oil Massage: Doing a warm oil head massage is great for dry scalp, is nourishing for the hair strands and is a really great relaxer. And now that you don’t have to go in to the office everyday, feel free to leave it in your hair to soak up all the oily goodness.
6/ SELF DEFENSE SKILLS: The average Hindu needs to go beyond worldly academics. Learn a martial arts for a strong body and mind. Learn to protect yourself and be unafraid of failure. Teach the little girl you know how to protect herself.
7/ SANSKRIT: No level of English translation will ever be sufficient to understand original texts. Tis time for #hindus to reap the intellectual stimulation from the original texts like our ancestors of the past. Take some time to #learnsamskritam from local and online resources.
