Often we assume that Judas went to hell.

When you learn more about salvation, you will question that assumption.

You may still conclude that he PROBABLY didn't make heaven.

But that thoughtless ASSUMPTION will definitely die.

Case in point, the robber on the right of Jesus.
Here are the facts.

1) Salvation is by faith alone. The robber on the right is a testimony.

2) Judas repented of his betrayal. Matt 27 says he rejected the money. A field was bought with the money but not necessarily by him.

3) He was racked with guilt and committed suicide.
To say without a shadow of doubt that Judas went to hell...

You have to show that he didn't have faith even in his dying moments.

You have to show that guilt and self condemnation excludes faith. Don't forget Peter's betrayal.

You must ignore that he returned the money.
When you put a these together...

That mindless assumption that Judas went to hell disappears.

You will have to think more deeply.

And often your conclusion will show how much you understand salvation.
