The MOMENT FROM "LOVE" came back 😭 It is my favorite Tsumu moment: the moment when he got hooked on volleyball. It is so indicative of him as a person. "I'll let you hit it" is what he wanted to emulate. He was always a good kid đŸ„ș
I really love seeing the different motivation each player has for taking their position in the game. For ex when you compare the setters to one another you can really tell why they play volleyball and what kind of player they are.
Like compare Atsumu to Oikawa, who basically saw a super experienced setter turn the tide of a game and noticed him rather than ~hawt young wing spiker who everyone else paid attention to.
Atsumu's moment is a lot more intimate and is ultimately about the relationship with the other players on the team. As opposed to Oikawa, who takes a much more executive role in being a setter.
He is ever the general in a strategy (idr the ch # bc I'm a FAKE FAN), to the point that he is diametrically opposed to the concept and ethic behind Stz's team play. He honest to god gets into a snit over it when Ushijima approaches him about Stz v. Seijou.
Then you have Kenma, who actually doesn't care that much about the game in spite of the fact that he has a very good game sense. He actually gets into it because he sees how much Kuroo loves it ("Ain't nothing but some internal bleeding").
To Kenma, volleyball is absolutely about that relationship, so that's why it's so significant when he says that he had fun and thanks Kuroo for getting him into volleyball. And also why he let it go after high school.
Uh then you have Shirabu, who is Ushijima's #1 sasaeng lol. Literally has a boner for the Stz concept and ethic so he uses his BRAIN not his athletic abilities to get into Stz lmao.
So of course Kageyama looks SUPER FUCKIN HYPE for the moment he gets to witness Atsumu's growth. Kageyama's love for volleyball is so fucking pure đŸ„ș He just loves it and the challenge that comes from playing strong people.
