Universities are slowly but surely getting wise. Confucius Institutes in particular are being closed across the country, after the FBI Director testified concern last year.

A weird dunk. There's been very public and bipartisan action on this on the Hill for 2-3 years now. If Vox's business is "explaining the news," you'd think actual news would play a role?

Final thought as I tend to ramble. The STEM secrets and disciplines Chinese students take back with them contribute directly to the surveillance of Uighurs in concentration camps, dissidents in Hong Kong, Tibetans, etc.

You'd think the left would be ok with efforts to stop that?
