The op-ed notes the mild symptoms most students would face. Ok, but their professors? Administrators? Staff? What about the local population?
I agree that the "should we open the campuses" issue is huge, that safety is an issue, that online learning isn't the same. 3/
And of course, an op-ed won't lend itself to a nuanced discussion. But these *other matters* can't be waived away so easily. They aren't that different from what the entire country is facing.
