HALF-FORMED THOUGHTS: I& #39;m not confident anyone& #39;s ever been able to explain to me a satisfactory distinction between & #39;understanding& #39; a relationship in maths we& #39;d use a formula for and just deriving it. Is using a formula and being able to derive it enough to & #39;understand& #39; it? 1/2
Gut says no. The more I think about it the more I& #39;m coming round to the idea & #39;understanding& #39; is as nebulous a concept as & #39;creativity& #39; in as far as two people could be using those words to mean completely different things. 2/2
