things that don’t even matter. if i’m following a “big” account, i’m following them for the news or translation content they share with us. i’m not interested in them as a person. i don’t fucking care who they bias or what they like about the group. there’s other accounts +
that cater to my preferences in regards to my biases. i’m not following the “big” accounts because i’m their fan. (like wtf? who the fuck are they even? they’re just. fans. like. us.) they have NO SAY in how i think about my favs. if they overstep/fuck up i’m gonna call them out+
and try to understand or accept that they might not think the same way about them as i do. i will not “expose” their mistakes to all my followers to get them “canceled”. why the fuck would i? that’s BULLYING. sending a mob of people over to them to report/block. USELESS. +
there is just NO BENEFIT for either party in doing that. it doesn’t affect the group’s popularity or image. this twitter community is a little bubble created by fans for fans. with lots more little bubbles inside of it, niche or minorities alike. and literally no one irl CARES. +

blown out of proportion by VERY YOUNG people WHO DON’T SPEAK ENGLISH VERY WELL AND THEREFORE DON’T GET THE TONE OR NUANCE OF THE ORIGINAL POST/TWEET. the LACK READING COMPREHENSION constantly blows my mind. it’s what makes the twitter fandom experience feel LIKE HELL, tbh. +
the need to constantly explain oneself is emotionally and mentally draining. to the point where i don’t even want to express my views or opinions on anything anymore. although i’m always trying to curate my timeline i get disappointed when i see my favorite accounts blocking me.+
blocking me for not doing anything wrong. “oh you follow that one account? then you can’t follow me!” blocktogether, blocklists. gatekeeping. i don’t know where i’m going with this tbh, it’s just a bunch of my concerns bundled up in this thread. probably doesn’t make any sense.+
