* Spoilers* Ashita no Joe is a story that I will remember for years to come.
A story that was written in the late 1960s/early 70s that still stands the test of time and offers some of the best storytelling to ever come out of this medium.
Its about the life of kid whos been neglected his early childhood, who later develops this passion for Boxing. It’s through Boxing that Joe Yabuki gets to experience everything life has to offer. Love and hate, Success and failure, Joy and depression, Life and death...
But it’s through these experiences and through boxing that Joe is able to become the best man he can possibly be.
No matter the pain no matter the consequences he’s able to push through the cruel world of Boxing because it’s his passion for the sport that’s gives him a sense of worth and completeness. A passion that burns so bright that when it’s all over, all that’s left...
Are White Ashes...
