One of the very few regrets I have regarding the mass promotion is the fact nga wala nako nahuman ang HIS003. It's one of the courses I wish everyone would encounter and appreciate. As tribute to that course, here are the things that I've learnt:
1. Restorative justice - the intention of this Lumad practice is not for one party to win and the other to lose, but for both parties to come to an agreement that will lead to reconciliation.
2. Sultans - the Lumads' and Moros' leaders had certain criteria to meet before they become chief of their tribe. They are also expected to give more of their time and resources than their citizens.
3. Moro and Lumad responses to colonizers - both were united in their efforts to thwart or accept Spanish rule probably because of blood compacts. They didn't politicize their efforts, instead focusing on doing what is best for their tribes.
Knowing the history and responses of these people, I wonder if it might explain why Mindanaoans are more open to the idea of martial law and less threatened by military activity.
4. Colonization - the colonizers have not only impacted the culture and way of living of Mindanaoans but have also changed their way of thinking.
Wla na koy mahunahunaan 😣 basta I hope this thread would help people appreciate HIS003. I really wish those from Luzon would have this course because it might help remove their misinformed stereotypes towards Mindanaoans.
Bitaw oi dli ko katulog hahaha lemme sleep ples
