One of the greatest markers of a coaching great is the caliber of manager his past players turn out to become as well as the type of impact that the said mentor has had on the game and how it's played. That Cruyff conveyor belt is untouchable.
On the other hand that other gent can only really point at guys like Hughes, Bruce, Giggs, Solksjear, Keane and the Neville brothers. Greatest indication that there was never a philosophy to begin with. The best manager ever. Yes. Certainly nowhere near being the best coach ever.
In just 12 years of top level management Guardiola has already started turning in new managers and has influenced the likes of Ten Hag, Arteta, Xavi, Xabi Alonso and them gents.
Mourinho and Klopp are others who have influenced the game and provided/mastered a different way of solving football problems. There's a bit of Klopp in how Nagelsmann does things. You also cannot deny a link between how Conte & Simeone do things to how Jose did them at his peak.
So many guys have had a drink from that Cruyff well. That picture of Mourinho, van Gaal, Koeman and Guardiola shows just how much that man has influenced how football is played. I think the so called "bald fraud" will outdo his great master and take football to a whole new level.
