He talked about Kendricks as their nickel cb last year as an "extreme end of the spectrum." Key word is spectrum. The implication is that they would move away from the extreme, which leads me to wonder what would be less extreme than a LB playing nickel? 2/4
Safety is the obvious answer. We know Diggs can and has played nickel in the NFL. Part of how they could get Blair on the field is sliding Diggs down to slot in nickel situations. The other option would be more 3 safety looks. That would be a more significant scheme change 3/4
I had hoped Pete was talking about signing a guy like Dennard, but upon listening again, it sounded like he didn't want to divulge a scheme change more than a player signing. 4/4
