I keep hearing about how I should be drafting Chase Claypool because the Steelers are the best at developing WR's in the NFL!

Lets put that to the test. Here is a look at every WR they drafted since 2010.

(thread)
In 2010 they took Sanders in the 3rd round and Antonio Brown in the 6th round.
in 2011 they didnt draft any.

in 2012 They only took Toney Clemons in the 7th round. He isnt avaialable in charting database and is basically irrelevant.

in 2013 they took Markus Wheaton
In 2014 they selected Martavis Bryant in the 4th round.
In 2015 they took Sammie Coates in the 3rd round.
In 2016 they selected Demarcus Ayers in the 7th round.
In 2017 Juju Smith-Schuster was added.
In 2018 they selected James Washington in the 2nd round
2019's draft brought in Diontae Johnson in the 3rd round.
And finally in 2020 they added Chase Claypool in the 2nd round.
Among ALL of those WR's the only ones with sustained success have been Emmanuel Sanders, Antonio Brown, and Juju Smith-Schuster...

Here is another look at those hits and what they did in college vs Claypool.
I am going to go ahead and say that the first step is be consistently productive in college, NOT be drafted by the Steelers.

Here is a look at how the top dynasty WR's produced in College... https://twitter.com/DFBeanCounter/status/1227547156485033984?s=20

This is your friendly reminder not to fall into traps.

Draft capital and landing spot matter... but not at the expense of college production...

They all need to be in alignment if you are looking for hits.
