If your barn is a small private barn with less than 5 people and the horses you ride are sales horses (ex you're helping keep sales horses fit) would you consider it appropriate to still be riding?
I'm having an issue morally, because a few weeks ago I was very much on the boat of not electively participating in higher risk activities due to hospital space. so I haven't been to the barn we're really been riding since March 16th. I started up with barn work again last week
And the barn had been closed to the public since March 16th but I've been out twice a week to do stalls and feed to help offset some of the labor for my barn owner. She said she said she would be opening it back up to boarders and in barn leases
With precautions in place (social distancing, wiping all shared equipment off after use, etc) and there's only three other borders there, one of which never comes out and I'm the only person who rides there that's not a boarder right now. I'm itching to ride again like everyone
But I feel like a hypocrite. That being said my barn is a small private barn, and it would be benefiting the business because I'm riding sales horses which is helping keep them in shape. Mehhh.
