Since this guy has checked in early for this week's "Give Yer Fckin Head A Shake, Bud" title belt, I thought I'd see what his recent public thoughts on Canada's deadliest mass shooting* were, as an exercise to see who we have in important public positions in Alberta. #ableg

So, while the tragedy was still unfolding, Dr. Mintz took time out of his busy Sunday to RT the news that the murderer was driving a fake RCMP vehicle. Ok, right on.

On Monday, once the horrifying details had become clearer, Alberta's new favourite economist posted the NP story about the murdered RCMP officer.

By midweek, Dr. Mintz was alllll business, to hell with any more examination of the misogynist or authoritarian motives underlying the deadliest mass shooting in Canadian history*, we have a federal government to undermine, and workers to call lazy.

Not everyone always says the right thing in a tragedy, that's understandable. But Dr. Mintz, whether he likes it or not, is an appointed representative of Albertans.
Any intern with 1/2 a pulse could have tweeted some thoughts and prayers for him, had he thought it pertinent.

If anything, this shows the level of human compassion working to help Alberta's economy recover. Clearly, Dr. Mintz has access to his twitter acct, as demonstrated this morning. These public statements are a window into someone's mind, and their feelings toward humanity.

It's gonna take a whoooole lotta work to take the Give Yer Fuckin Head A Shake Bud title belt from Dr. Mintz this week.
