Once the Holy Spirit came down, that’s when they went out and began preaching the gospel. Paul was converted in Acts 9 but didn’t travel to Corinth till Acts 18. Corinth was a party town full of sin and idolatry. Paul had no reason to be there before, until the Spirit guided him.
