(A Thread)
Brief Origin: In the alternate timeline of Flashpoint, Joe Chill killed the young Bruce Wayne rather than his parents. As a result, Thomas Wayne wished revenge so took up to mantle of Batman, but unlike his son he is far more ruthless in his actions as he is happy to kill.
Creation of Flashpoint Joker: Thomas tracked down Chill and decided to beat him to death with his bare hands. Martha Wayne is so traumatized by the event she cut her face into a grin and soon enough, descended into insanity and becomes the Flashpoint of The Joker
Dynamic Duo: Batman started working with Catwoman, a young thief he once spared and grew attached to like a father figure, leading him to abandon his violent ways. She was however shot by Martha (The Joker) through the gut and paralyzed, making him relapse into his old ways again
Flashpoint Killing Joke: The quadriplegic Kyle later started aiding the Gotham Security and Thomas Wayne in his war on crime becoming the hacker and information broker Oracle of the Flashpoint Universe
Wayne Casino’s: Thomas Wayne secretly funds his war on crime through his Casinos. He works closely with Chief Jim Gordon, the head of Gotham Security, as a few years ago the police force was privatized. He works closely with Oswald Cobblepot, head of security for his casino’s
Equipment: Very different to Bruce, Thomas is simple and straight to the point. The items used in his utility belt are a flashlight, two pistols, various batarangs, grapple line, and a syringe for various chemicals as Thomas has a vas knowledge on chemicals being a top surgeon
Batcave: His Batcave is very minimalistic with a few tables allowing him to plan strategies, look over evidence and place his gadgets. He also keeps the gun that killed his son (just like Bruce keeps the gun that killed his parents). He also has a basic single desktop PC upstairs
A Safer Gotham: Flashpoint Gotham is less crime ridden since Batman uses more brutal tactics. Some notable villains are confirmed deceased such as: Hush, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, Killer Croc & The Joker, who are all pretty much confirmed to be killed by Thomas
Resetting the Timeline: in the Flashpoint final battle Batman stabs Reverse Flash in the back with a sword while Reverse Flash was gloating to The Flash. Thomas, realizing what Flash was planning to do, thanks him for all he has done and gives him a letter addressed to his son.
Bought into Main Continuity: He seemingly perished when the timeline was reset, although this has since been altered and he was revealed to have somehow survived. Meeting his grown son during ‘The Button’ crossover between Flash and Batman, he tried to convince Bruce...
To give up his mission as Batman before seemingly being wiped from existence (again) along with the rest of the world. But instead of getting a noble death in battle, it’s later revealed that Eobard Thawne saved him and brought him to the new present. Making him suffer...
Thawne saved Thomas and "cursed him" with the gift of survival so that he could see how the Batman mission had dominated his son's life in this new world. Thomas sees the idea of Batman as a curse that needs to be expunged, no matter what timeline appears.
City of Bane: Thomas meets Bane, and forges a plan to break Batmans will so be gives up the mantle. This leads to him taking over Gotham and all the criminals taking control whilst Bruce is healing elsewhere
Where he is now: The plan is eventually foiled by Batman and Catwoman. Resulting in Thomas shooting Bane and ending up in a prison cell with him, which leads to Bane breaking Thomas’ back and they’re both stuck in prison as it stands
There’s plenty story wise that I haven’t gone over which I will do later down the line, this is all about Thomas Wayne and how he operates as Batman with a brief history on his stories
