Other members of Congress own cattle, but only a few of us RAISE cattle.

I fix the fences, feed the hay, castrate bulls, fertilize fields, put tags in their ears, move them between pastures, wean calves.

FOOD SHORTAGES ARE COMING.

USDA needs to acknowledge and respond now.
The @USDA should immediately re-evaluate every regulation that affects food production, then suspend or loosen regulations that slow down the production of food.

Congress should immediately call a hearing about the problem and pass legislation to lift regulations.
My bicameral/bipartisan PRIME Act would be a good first step. The legislation would make it possible for farmers to use existing infrastructure to provide food directly to consumers and grocery stores. Cosponsors already include Democrats and Republicans in the House and Senate.
The alternative is to do nothing while staring at bare supermarket shelves. Farm animals will be euthanized and buried in pits or burned if nothing changes. Crops are already being plowed under and milk is already being poured out.

I am only 1 of 435, call your congressman now.
