I remember tweeting about being okay with my dark spots and how I was no longer gonna wear full coverage foundation and people still DMed me to give me "tips". Even though I had just said...
I think skincare, like a lot of beauty related things, can be fun for people. But, like a lot of beauty related things, as it gains popularity, the standards become more and more impossible
It's no longer fine to just have healthy skin but you must also be poreless, blemish-less, glowey... The standard doesn't even look like skin cos ppl who set the standard are photoshopped 💀
But skin is an organ whose job is to protect your other organs. It's okay for it to have scars and blemishes stretch marks and for your pores to be visible, etc. As long as your skin is healthy and doing its job
