How did Coke, Pepsi, or Dr Pepper not buy up Jolt Cola? Seems like a missed opportunity. (Especially for Dr Pepper.)

It's kind of funny to me that after decades of trying, Pepsi still doesn't have a good Sprite variant and Coca-Cola still lacks for a replacement-level Mountain Dew.

Money doesn't buy everything, it appears.

What's also kind of funny is that there is one company that does have a replacement-level substitute for Sprite and Mountain Dew and a Dr Pepper style drink (which Pepsi also lacks), which is... Dr Pepper itself.

With Dr Pepper, RC Cola, 7up, and Sun Drop, they arguably have the most complete stable.

Them and Kroger's.
