As i announced a few days ago, i'm going to do a playthrough / livetweet of Attack of the Friday Monsters, starting RIGHT NOW. I hope you'll enjoy it!

Attack of the Friday Monsters is a game for Nintendo 3DS made by Millenium Kitchen, the studio also responsible for the Boku no Natsuyasumi series on Sony consoles. Those games never came out in Europe, so AotFM is the only game of the studio that we can easily play here.

It was released in 2013 as part of the Guild02 series, the 2nd collection of games for the 3DS published by Level-5 and developed by various game makers such as Keiji Inafune, Grasshopper Manufacture and more.

I originally came to know it via a video review of @At0mium_ that i watched on Summer 2014. The video lasted 7 minutes, & by the 2nd minute i was booting up my 3DS and buying the game! I fell in love with it at first sight, i played through it in one sitting and it was wonderful.

Since then, i've been recommending it to everyone i know who owns a 3DS, & i've been replaying it once each summer for maybe 4 years? I was planning to play it again last year but i must have forgotten at some point. It's a joy to revisit it again each year as a summer treat

I know we're only in April, but these past days i've been thinking about AotFM a lot, and for some reason a tweet with a short video of Boku no Natsuyasumi gained some traction on here, so i figured it was the universe's signal that IT IS TIME.

The game lasts approximately 3 hours, so i'll be playing it from beginning to end, stopping often as things happen to write my thoughts about the game & why i love it. I'm going to spoil like, everything? So if you have not played it i urge you to mute this thread & go buy it!
