I really wish that @TheSimpsons in their early seasons in the 90s would've referenced Eek! The Cat.

And I would've also wished that Eek! would also reference The Simpsons.
#FoxTelevisionNetwork #FoxAnimation #AnimationOnFox #EekTheCat #TheSimpsons #MattGroening #BillKopp
Reasons:
1) They're both part of "Animation on Fox" in the 20th century on the FOX network. (No Pun Intended!)

2) Both of the cartoons use pop-culture references, including the FOX network themselves.
3) Bill Kopp may be the co-creator and voice actor of Eek! The Cat, but he originally worked as an animator for the early Simpsons shorts as part of "The Tracy Ullman Show".
4) Dan Castellaneta, the voice of Homer Simpson appeared in Eek! The Cat as the voice of Mittens the Blue Cat (Season 1-2), Hank and additional characters. (Season 1-3)
And those are all the reasons I really would've wished that both The Simpsons and Eek! The Cat would've referenced each other.
e.g. Imagine in one episode taken place in Saturday Morning, Bart and Lisa were watching Fox Kids on their TV in the living room and they were watching a funny episode of Eek! The Cat and they both laugh at the episode on TV.
(cont.) Bart would've said "Wow! I guess Itchy and Scratchy ain't the only cartoon that has a lot of slapstick humor." and Lisa would've said "Oh Bart! That's just how most cartoons work if people had a sense of funniness".
(cont.) That episode would've had the involvement with "Bill Kopp" to be the guest star and animator on that one episode after when he did the early shorts for the cartoon.
Well, since The Simpsons is still running, hopefully they'll be able to make references to Eek! to finally acknowledge their program that was part of Fox Kids on the network.
I mean, they did reference the cartoon once, but it was only in a comic book where it was just a fictional food product called "Eek! The Cat Pasta-Toons".

What I mean is that to reference it in the TV series so that way they can finally acknowledge Fox Kids again after 18 years!
Anyways, that's all for this tweet thread on Twitter.
Thanks for reading this thread, and if you are a huge fan of both The Simpsons and Eek! The Cat, (Much like yours truly.) then this is definitely for you!
This thread is for: @NoContextEek and @tubatron (Creator of the Eek! segment, Klutter.)

Shame that both Bill Kopp or Matt Groening don't have their own official Twitter accounts.
