Those that are using the few damaged bus stops and billboards and labelling it 'rioting' are pushing a more dangerous narrative against reer #Mogadishu- THREAD. 1/11
Categorising the trolls on SM for the purpose of thread.

FACE: social media personalities/accounts with actual Avi (picture) with few exceptions i.e @Kingyusufyusuff. This group is more subtle in their attacks. some may show sympathy but ultimately their hate supersedes. 2/11
- FACELESS: mainly troll accounts with limited followers. This is the most extreme group with no limits on their diatribe. 3/11
Residents of the capital have given everything in the search for an equitable, free, prosperous Somalia. One would argue more so than any other region in the country. Mogadishans have been stuck under a rock and a hard place. They face the constant roadblocks n limitation - 4/11
in their freedoms and livelihood by the government of the day and in large accepted this for the 'greater good'. Even with the entire city under lockdown - Alshabab has continued to wreak havoc and destruction. 5/11
2017 saw the deadliest single attack in the country’s history, in October 2017, when a truck bomb exploded next to a fuel tanker in Mogadishu, creating a fire-storm that killed nearly 600 people. After this tragedy, Mogadishans came out in the droves to condemn Alshabab. 6/11
With Mogadishu being the only tax paying region in the country - by extension having the burden of an entire government on their back, the least the capital and her residents deserve is the support and acknowledgement from their fellow citizens. 7/11
Instead they have been constantly demonised by a marauding pseudo-nationalist paid trolls and clan fanatics on various social media outlets. The most recent case came after the killings of 2 civilians by police in Boondheere district and the subsequent small protests. 8/11
a small number of unruly youths damaged few bus stops and tore down a billboard - which constituted 'rioting' by the 'flag-bearers' of nationalism. The subtle attacks on residents began with the group FACE using adjectives such as 'anti-gov' and insinuating they r pro-shabab.9/11
Then followed by FACELESS with sickening, tribal attacks that only aims to dehumanise the residents of the capital. This has been constant since the first major attack after FEB 2017. its co-ordinated, malicious and only widens the mistrust amongst somalis. 10/11
Its disheartening that tax payers money continues to be funnelled and used in projects (troll farms) that r divisive and only seeks to create animosity amongst the same people that you claim to want to unite. 11/11 END
